Christian Counseling
Biblically grounded, emotionally honest therapy for individuals and couples seeking healing and reconnection with God, themselves, and others.
What Makes My Approach to Christian Counseling Different
Not all “Christian therapy” is created equal. For some, it means quoting a verse and calling it good. For others, it means clinging to rigid doctrine and forgoing the mystery and complexity of a God who dwells outside our finite understanding. That’s not what I offer.
My approach blends the wisdom of Scripture with the insights of trauma-informed, research-backed therapy (like Gottman Method, RLT, and DBT). I don’t believe biblical truth and emotional depth are at odds—they belong together. I believe our God is deeply passionate! I’ll challenge distorted beliefs (even the “biblical” ones we’ve inherited from broken systems), hold space for grief, and help you sort through the tangled places in your story.
You’ll never be forced to follow a theological agenda. But you will be invited to engage with God in the middle of the mess—and experience Him as merciful, just, present, and profoundly kind.
What Christians Bring to Therapy
The REAL Things We Talk About
Many of the Christians I work with are navigating:
Betrayal in marriage or porn addiction
Sexual shame, especially after purity culture
Emotional distance and disconnection in marriage
Guilt over sin and confusion about forgiveness
Church hurt, spiritual trauma, or unhealthy leadership
Difficulty setting boundaries in Christian environments
Questions about God’s silence or goodness
A deep love for Jesus—and disillusionment with His people
Whether you’re in crisis or slowly unraveling, this is a safe place to speak honestly, ask hard questions, and take your pain seriously—without abandoning your faith.
How I Integrate Faith in Therapy
I don’t treat faith as an accessory—or a problem to work around. I see it as part of your whole being: how you see yourself, others, and the world. When we work together, I might reference Scripture, explore biblical themes like restoration or mercy, or challenge how certain verses have been interpreted in harmful ways.
I won’t pressure you to pray in session, but I’ll offer it when it feels healing. I won't force you to forgive, but I’ll walk with you as you wrestle toward it. And I won’t give pat answers to deep wounds—but I will sit with you in the mystery and ask, “What if God is still good… even here?”
Christian Counseling for Individuals
Faith can make healing richer—but also more complicated. I help clients explore issues like spiritual identity, forgiveness, shame, sexuality, grief, and theological confusion in a way that honors both Scripture and soul.
Christian Counseling for Couples
For couples navigating infidelity, emotional disconnection, or sexual brokenness, I offer Christian marriage counseling that blends biblical wisdom with practical tools for repair and reconnection. You’ll receive support that’s honest, non-legalistic, and rooted in mutual responsibility—not rigid roles.
If You’re Deconstructing
If you're wrestling with what you’ve been taught—and wondering what’s still worth holding onto—this is a safe space to explore. I don’t believe faith has to break apart when your theology does. God is big enough for your questions. And I believe He meets us in our doubt just as much as our devotion.
Ready to Begin?
